New York City attracts the world's most talented creative artists and ambitious corporate professionals. Your online presence is your calling card and using creative professional headshots and portrait photographs can help convey your own unique personality.
In these image-driven times a great professional headshot/portrait becomes an integral part of your online identity. I have always admired actors and other creative artists business professionals and it’s genuinely pleasurable to offer a relaxing and collaborative environment where together we explore who you are and what you wish to convey to the world.
The modern professional portrait is a well made, authentic, and collaborative image that reveals unique and flattering qualities in a beautifully lit environment in studio, outdoors or on location.
My approach is to produce flattering and compelling portraits, headshots and/or lifestyle portraits from which your unique qualities are displayed naturally. It is an intimate proposition between photographer and subject and I like to say that I get into the little boat with you and we roll on the high seas together in an effort to bring your face into the memory of all viewers. Have had the great good fortune of working with artists and professionals in many walks of life over the years and consider it a privilege to collaborate in this endeavor.
Inspiration for portraiture comes from many places and I've had the opportunity to travel and try out war photography, spend a good deal of time photographing New York City and become proficient with my 8x10 view camera through through which the influences of many photographers are mixed. Irving Penn, Alfred Stieglitz, August Sander, Karsh, Albert Watson, Michael O'Neill, Dorothea Lange, Diane Arbus, Sebasyiao Salgado, Robert Capa, Platon, Nadar, Sebastian Salgado and the list goes on and on. These giants of photography are the stars in the sky that every portrait photographer strains to reach. I am one of them and will be posting more personal portraiture on this commercial platform in the future.
